Somewhat quietly. At home, just the three of us. And a lot of Cars. We could have done without gifts (a couple of books, a new movie, some stickers) probably; it would have been enough just putting all the Cars out on the table. There were cake and streamers and a big balloon, the blowing out of a candle after singing Happy Birthday, though we knocked the camera over right after and lost the evidence (thankfully the practice video remains). A new ornament for his birthday ring: this year a car, what else. We celebrated with a whole day of silliness, running through the curtain of streamers, candle light, and a lot of love for my sweet salty birthday boy.
